WHERE CAN I GO SWIM IN OPEN WATER IN THE DC/BALT AREA?

Back from vegas and yes the pictures will be flowing here but they are first going to Snapfish.

So I purchased a wetsuit and need to use it tomorrow but don't know of many public and safe swim areas in the Potomac or if I have to go out to the Bay, just to get some waves?

I'm swimming in my first one mile bay swim in two weeks from today and yes, I went out with a bang of smoking pot as I am forcing myself to some discipline:

I'm really excited and know it's 4am so asking for help is a stretch but have a heart and give me, even the most obvious of places.
