Live and Learn.......

A weekend away.....From reality!
This past weekend was fun, a mess, injury-prone, and relaxing. Quite the fucking ride, huh?
Well, it's all a part of being me.
So Friday, the Big Poker Tourneyment, the 1st of many, took place at an undisclosed location and it went ......very well and very badly.
First off, Me and my parter-in-crime had been working on this thing day and night, other than my job, for about a month.
We had 5 tables which could hold 10 people each. We had 44 people show up. (I won't get into how they showed up. Look at K's blog for that)
I was in charge of the appetizers, the bar, the watresses.....the odds and ends of things, while the game itself was being overseen by another few gentlemen.
We made our money on the tables.....intitally, then Blackjack was introduced and our $1200.00 lead, went dwindling until we only had the money made at the bar left. =(
Now, I'm told it was a success as people loved it and will come back, but given the $3200.00 investment, i would say walking away with a $195.00 profit sucks!
Especially when the watresses walked with $80.00 each. Cash!
Hell, strap some tits on me and lemme take drink orders. not fucking difficult.
anyway, i worked my ass off, all the while being injuried.
I benched 225 earlier that day, without a warm-up and strained all the muscles surrounding my left shoulder, including my neck, all 3 heads of my shoulder muscle, pectoral, and bicep (which was already sore).
Live and Learn........on both accounts.

In more pleasant news, it snowed....DUH, so K and I ran out for bagels, came back and snuggled all weekend. Fucking perfect in my mind. Well, one thing was missing, but in other news.....

My tires, that were to come in last Thursday, still aren't even fucking here!
Stupid snow. I want those tires FOR the snow. Catch 22, I guess.
Oh well.
I'm gonna go see if I can get a picture or 1 million up on this site =)
